By Matt Wurzburger

Lindsey Wilson volleyball was picked to finish first in the Mid-South Conference, the conference office announced Thursday.

The Blue Raiders received 48 voting points and six out of eight first-place votes from conference coaches, who could not vote for their own team.

Georgetown (Ky.) was picked second with 44 points and the two remaining first-place votes. The Tigers finished second in the MSC in 2015 and reached the quarterfinals of the NAIA National Championship.

Cumberlands (Ky.) placed third with 33 points. Campbellsville (Ky.) was picked fourth with 28 points, followed closely by Cumberland (Tenn.), which received 26 points.

Life (Ga.) is sixth in the poll with 25 points. Shawnee State (Ohio) is seventh with 12 points, and rounding out the poll is Pikeville (Ky.) with eight points.
