Overcorrection a factor in one vehicle accident injuring 3

Four occupants involved in accident on KY 80 E near Sano Road in Adair County. Two of injured transported by Adair County EMS to TJ Health/Columbia. One taken to Russell County Hospital. Deputy Brandon Hitch is the investigating officer.

On Monday evening, August 8,2016 at 8:54pmCT the Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle accident on highway E 80 near Sano Road in Adair County.

Tyler Spoon was attempting to pass a vehicle when he noticed oncoming traffic.

Spoon overcorrected and overturned coming to rest on an earth embankment.

Passengers in the vehicle were Emily Popplewell, Faith Wheeler and Hannah Jasper.



Emily Popplewell was transported to Russell County Hospital by Adair EMS.

Faith Wheeler and Hannah Jasper were transported to TJ Columbia by Adair EMS.

Deputy Hitch is the investigating officer.
