Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments 26 July 2016

Charges brought against eight individuals from Adair, Laurel, and Scott. Charges include drug charges, flagrant non-support, wanton endangerment, burglary.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tue 26 July 2016:

  • Carlos Ray Foster (12/15/1984), Donna Lane, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00081. Charged with six counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (more than 20 D.U.), drug unspecified. Count 2 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Count 3 - Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. Count 4 - Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon. Count 5 - Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) . Count 6 - Persistent Felony Offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $25,000 cash. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 9, 2016.

  • Joseph P. Baker (04/14/1987), Ed Erwin Road, Columbia, KY. Indictment No. 16-CR-00082. Charged with seven counts. Count 1 - Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon. Count 2 - Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine). Count 3 - Operating a Motor Vehicle While under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs1st Offense. Count 4 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (more than 20 D.U.) drug unspecified. Count 5 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Count 6 - Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. Count 7 - Persistent Felony Offender, 2nd degree.. Bail set at $25,000. cash. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 9, 2016.

  • Chris Stotts (08/29/91), Walking Horse Lane, Columbia, KY. Indictment No. 16-CR-00083. Charged with one counts. Count 1 - Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. Summons. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 9, 2016.

  • Teddy D. Pyles (07/28/1988), Lakeway Apartments, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00084. Charged with one counts. Count 1 - Flagrant Nonsupport. Bail set at $1,500 surety. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 9, 2016.

  • Angela Estes (12/04/1969), J.C. Johnson Road, Columbia, KY. Indictment No. 16-CR-00086. Charged with three counts. Count 1 & 2 Assault 4th Degree (2 counts) - Count 3 - Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. Summons. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 9, 2016.

  • Sunni L. Lewis (10-12-1981), Yuma Trail, Georgetown, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00087. Charged with one count. Count 1 - Custodial Interference. Bail set at $50,000. Cash. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 9, 2016.

  • Oba Z. Thompson (02/20/1988), Heather Lane, Columbia, KY. Indictment No. 16-CR-00088. Charged with six counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, First Offense (Greater than or equal to 2 GMS Methamphetamine). Count 2: Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. Count 3 - Possession of Controlled substance 1st degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine). Count 4 - Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Firearms Enhancement). Count 5 - Possession of Marijuana (Firearms Enhancement). Count 6 - Persistent Felony Offender. Arraignment 1pmCT, Aug 1, 2016. Bail set at $20,000 cash.

  • Tony Gregory (04/25/1964) Backwater Road, London, KY. Indictment No. 16-CR-00089. Charged with 5 Counts. Count 1 - Burglary in the 1st Degree. Count 2 - Possession of Burglar's Tools. Count 3 - Impersonating a peace officer. Count 4 - Resisting arrest. Count 5 - Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Bail set at $25,000 cash. Arraignment - Aug 9, 2016.
