Update: Due to the weather, the movie will be moved inside - Laura Koller

The community is invited to a free family friendly movie night at Summit Manor, 400 Bomar Heights, Columbia, KY, on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 7:30pmCT, in the back courtyard. We will be showing the movie, "Zootopia" So bring your kids, a blanket, beach towel or lawn chair for a night out with the family. There will be food items for purchase, with proceeds going towards this years Elders vacation fund. - Laura Koller

Note: Outdoor movies were quite the thing in the early days of cinema. Morgan Brothers, Van Zant's Overland, and Mr. Kerbow entertained us with portable theaters in the open, long before drive-ins were here Some of Adair's theatres were out-of-doors, some itinerant. Among them were. See: Adair Theatres, which first appeared in Columbia! Magazine issue 18.
