Saddened that the old AC Fairgrounds are going away

Ivan Overton writes:
Just wanted to say that it saddens me that the AC Fairgrounds are going away. I have many fond memories of this place. I used to walk from our home on Glenmary Street, in the mid to late sixties, many times for Little League games, swimming at the pool, or going to the Fair. I was allowed to go on my own, something you just couldn't do today at that age. Hard to believe that was 50 years ago now. Hate to see it disappear. Thanks. - Ivan Overton Bowling Green, KY
