Miriam Gibson named Lindsey Wilson Cheer & Dance Coach

COLUMBIA, KY (Mon 19 Jul 2016) - Lindsey Wilson Athletic Director Willis Pooler announced on Monday that Miriam Gibson has been hired as the next head coach of the Blue Raider cheer and dance programs.

"I am excited to have Miriam join our staff," Pooler said. "She is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, has worked in our admissions office and understands our mission."



Gibson returns to her alma mater to take over the programs after spending one year as an assistant coach at Adair County High School and three years as a coach at Adair County Middle School.

Gibson also currently works as a school therapist for The Kid Spot Center in Campbellsville, KY.

During her high school career, Gibson cheered at Adair County before continuing into the collegiate level with a pair of seasons for the Hilltoppers at Western Kentucky University.

She has also has experience working as a coach at Bowling Green Cheernastics & Cheer Force All-Stars.

Gibson completed her bachelor's degree in 2012 and later completed her master's in counseling and human development from Lindsey Wilson in 2015.

"I'm looking forward to watching our cheer and dance programs move forward under her leadership," Pooler said.
