Morris (Pompano) Beard, age 77, Taylor Co, KY He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Cleveland, OH where he worked in several roles over 32 years. Following retirement, he operated Pompano's Bait Shop at Campbellsville City Lake for 23 years. He was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple and was a member of Medina (OH) Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Grand Master. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing golf and bowling. His wife, Nona Faye Beard, survives. Funeral services will be conducted at 10amET Friday, July 15th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Gillespie and Bro. Jase Diven officiating. Following cremation, private entombment will take place at Mt. Zion Cemetery at a later date. The family requests visitation from 5 to 8pmET Thursday, July 14th at the funeral home. He died Monday, July 11, 2016, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 77 years, eight months, three days. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Dee Beard.
