RRW Comment on: Joyce Coomer on kids Writer thinks work in a public place should be a requirement before graduation from high school Basic math: Children need to learn to count. Period By Ralph Waggener Joyce makes a good point about kids working; they yet have not learned how to work. When young people go to work at McDonalds or other fast food places they have to learn how to work! Just think on the many youngsters that don't get the chance to learn how to work before they are grown up with no work ethic taught to them. Children that grow up on a farm learn how to work at a young age, and that usually stays with them the rest of their lives. Managers are there to train them and watch over them, but some managers don't do their training because, I guess, it is so hard to teach work to youngsters. Most kids don't grow up until their late 20's. Blame management more than the children, but they have such a hard job trying to train kids! Hardest job in the world is training kid to work when they have not been had to be responsible; at least most have not had to do anything but go to school. It should be required for all students to have to work in a public place for a high school diploma! The writer is the founder of South Central Printing, now Trifecta Print, and is editor of Just for a Smile News. This story was posted on 2016-07-03 13:17:31
