Inmate found dead, victim of alleged inmate assault Tragedy occurs at Little Sandy Correctional Complex after assault. Kentucky State Police investigating. By Lisa Lamb FRANKFORT, Ky.(June 30, 2016) – An inmate at Little Sandy Correctional Complex in Sandy Hook was discovered unresponsive in his cell this afternoon due to an inmate assault. He was transported to the St. Claire Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The Kentucky State Police is in charge of the investigation.
