The story is at Kentucky Stepping Up Fight Against Skimmers at WKU/The Public Radio Service of Western Kentucky University. "Skimmers," according to the Kentucky Department of Agriculture, are "electronic devices . . . that capture data from consumers' credit cards. The data is used to produce fake credit cards and make fraudulent charges on the victim's account."
