Funeral services will be conducted at 12pmCT/1pmET, on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Church of God, 3361 State Route 503, Wurtland, KY by the Bishop Henry Montgomery. Burial will be in the Roar Cemetery in Wurtland, KY.Visitation for family and friends will be 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the Wurtland Church of God under the care of the Evans Funeral Home. Betty Melvin Roar, 81, Wurtland, KY (1934-2016) Mrs. Roar was born August 30, 1934 in Wurtland, KY, a daughter of the late Cermilus and Clytie Colegrove Melvin. She died June 14, 2016 in Ashland, Boyd County, KY, at the age of 81 years, nine months, and 15 days. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Roar; one grandson; two granddaughters; one brother, Gerald Melvin; and two sisters, Ruth Russell and Minnie Potter. She was a member of the Wurtland Church of God and a very devout Christian. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Walter Roar, Sr., and the following:
