He was a native of Adair County, KY, a member of a large, highly regarded family. He was the son of the late Charles Dudley Jessie and Lula Alzore England Jessie. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver.

Titus Jessie of Campbellsville, KY, died at 6amET, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Campbellsville Street, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. Blake Jessie and Rev. Shaun Caudill. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. Highway 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Titus Jessie, 90, Campbellsville, KY (1925-2016)


Titus Jessie was the son of the late Charles Dudley Jessie and Lula Alzore England Jessie. He was born August 31, 1925, in Adair County, KY. He died at Tuesday, May 24, 2016 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 90 years, eight months, and 24 days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He was a retired truck driver.

He united in marriage to Eula Fudge August 12, 1943. She preceded him in death August 26, 2008.

He united in marriage to Amy Wright Harrison March 7, 2009.

Besides his wife, Amy Harrison Jessie of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • One daughter-in-law: Julie Jessie of Campbellsville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Scott Jessie and wife, Jenny, John Baxter Jessie and wife, Jordan of Campbellsville, KY; and Katie Moss and husband, Tracy of Campbellsville, KY; Adam Jessie and wife, Ashley of Knoxville, TN; and Rev. Blake Jessie and wife, Emily of Greensburg, KY

  • Twelve great-grandchildren: Tyler Moss, Jase Jessie, Parker Jessie, Beckett Jessie, Hunter Jessie and Brayden Jessie of Campbellsville, KY; Lauren Durrett of Summersville, KY; Taylor Jessie and Carson Jessie of Knoxville, TN; River Jessie, Josiah Jessie and Judah Jessie of Greensburg, KY

  • One great-great-granddaughter: Evie Durrett of Summersville, KY; and expected twin great-great-grandchildren

  • Five step-children: Tresea Phillips and husband, Paul and Libbi Cox and husband, Keith of Elk Horn, KY; Alan Harrison and wife, Mary Margaret of Lexington, KY; Rhonda Hughes and husband, Danny of Frankfort, KY; and Jonetta Knight and husband, Tom of Ninevah, IN

  • Twenty step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two sons: Kimble Jessie June 10, 2014 and Keith Jessie March 23, 1988 and eight brothers and sisters.
