She was a born in Russell County, KY; she was a resident of Barren County at the time of her death. Her final resting place will be in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Nancy Ella Helm Taylor and the widow of Henry Clay Robertson. She leaves 12 direct living descendants. She was a homemaker and a member of Old Zion Methodist Church.

Doris Robertson, 94, Glasgow, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at NHC Healthcare of Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, 801 N. Race Street, Glasgow, KY. A graveside service will be held 3pmCT, Friday at the Robertson Family Cemetery in Adair County. Visitation will begin at 9amCT. Friday at the funeral home.

A native of Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Nancy Ella Helm Taylor.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Zion Methodist Church.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Steve Robertson and wife Judy

  • Three grandchildren: Nicki Collier and husband Duane, Emily Carver and husband Billy, Daniel Robertson and wife Britney

  • Eight great-grandchildren: Perri, Sydney, Laney and Ellie Collier; Allie Abbie, Trey, and Trigg Carver; Layla and Lera Robertson all of Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Ruby Hulse of Louisville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clay Robertson, and a son, David Bradley Robertson.
