Brenda Rose Jewell, 59, Metcalfe County, KY (1956-2016)

Her life was one of dedicated service. She was a registered nurse spending most of her career working in the Intensive Care Unit at T.J. Samson Hospital, then later in the Cardiac cath lab. She retired from the hospital in 2012, then began to work part-time at the Regional Cancer Center where she was still employed. She was the daughter of Harry and Virginia London Jewell.

Brenda Rose Jewell age 59 passed away peacefully at her home in Beechville, Metcalfe County, KY, on Thursday, May 19, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be conducted at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, at 4pmCT, on Sunday, May 22, 2016, with burial in the Bowles Cemetery at twilight. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday May 21st from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday May 22nd from 9:00 AM until time of service.



Brenda Rose Jewell, Metcalfe County, KY (1956-2016)


She was born October 31, 1956, the 5th child born to Harry and Virginia London Jewell. She died Thursday, May 19, 2016, in Beechville, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 59 years, six months, and 19 days.

She is survived by:
  • Three sisters: Janice (Randall) Lambirth, Kathy (David) Acree and Donita Kirby

  • Nieces and nephews; Jennifer Deweese, Craig (Annie) Deweese, Jeffrey Martin, Katye (Troy) Jessie, Jeremy Marin, Becca (Adam) Neal, Randall (Erin) Lambirth, Chris (Shea) Lambirth, Phillip Cassaday and Will Cassady

  • Several great nieces, nephews, step nieces and step nephews
Brenda was a registered nurse spending most of her career working in the Intensive Care Unit at T.J. Samson Hospital, then later in the Cardiac cath lab. She retired from the hospital in 2012, then began to work part-time at the Regional Cancer Center where she was still employed.
