Lois Janes, 76 of Louisville, KY formerly of Adair County, Ky passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Rockford Health and Rehab in Louisville, KY

Funeral service will be Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Jessee Hagan the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Breeding, KY. The family requests visiting after 9amCT, on Saturday until the funeral hour at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Lois Janes, 76, Adair County, KY (1939-2016)


She was born in Breeding, Adair County, KY on July 27, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Hobson and Mable Tabor Janes. She passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age 9f 76 years, nine months, and 21 days.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother Bernard Janes and a sister Linda Teets.

She is survived by:
  • Two sisters: Juanita Underhill of Shepherdsville, KY; and >Patricia Janes of Louisville, KY

  • One sister in law: Estelle Janes of Columbia, KY.

  • Several nieces and nephews.
Lois was a member of the Chestnut Grove Christian Church and had been a child care worker.
