Ashley M. Garrett, 32, Casey Co., KY (1983-2016)

She was a substitute for the Casey County Board of Education and a full time student at the Casey Community and Education Center SGA Representative. She was a former dispatcher for Casey and Russell 911 and a former firefighter for Clementsville Fire Department. Ashley was a former Deputy Jailer at the Casey jail. She was the daughter of Beulah Lay Garrett and the late Gerald Carl Garrett.

Ashley M. Garrett, 32, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Casey County, Kentucky.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET, Friday, May 20, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Mack Lay officiating. Burial will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, May 19, 2016, 3pm-8pmCT/4pm-9pmET, at the funeral home and Friday from 7amCT/8amET, until funeral service.


Ashley M. Garrett, 32, Casey Co., KY (1983-2016)


Born November 5, 1983 in Danville, KY, she is the daughter of Beulah Lay Garrett and the late Gerald Carl Garrett. She died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 32 years, six months, and 12 days.

She was a substitute for the Casey County Board of Education and a full time student at the Casey Community and Education Center SGA Representative. She was a former dispatcher for Casey and Russell 911 and a former firefighter for Clementsville Fire Department. Ashley was a former Deputy Jailer at the Casey jail.

Survivors include:
  • Her mother: Beulah Garrett of Liberty, KY

  • Two sisters: Carla (and Greg) Hogue of Liberty, KY; and Celesta (and Scott) Waddle of Lexington, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Mac (and Jess) Hogue, B.J. Hogue, Josh Blair, Jaylan Waddle, Chase Hogue, Lindsey Hogue and Krystina Hogue

  • Great nephew: Walker Hogue

  • And three special friends: Jennifer Overstreet, Judy Vance, and little girl Chatty the dog.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her niece, Myranda Hogue.
