LWC Men's Golf receiving votes in NAIA Coaches' Poll

By Charlie Balcom

The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team is receiving votes in the final regular-season NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Thursday.

The Blue Raiders garnered a total of three voting points to sit 13 spots outside of the top 25.

It marks the first time the men's team has received votes in a poll since being ranked No. 19 in the preseason poll back on Aug. 28, 2015.

The Blue Raiders wrapped up the 2016 spring season with a runner-up finish at the Mid-South Conference Championship Tournament back in April.

William Woods (Mo.) earned the top spot in the poll with 515 voting points and six first-place votes. Coastal Georgia is second with 506 points and eight first-place votes, while Oklahoma City jumped up to the No. 3 position with 498 points and four first-place votes.

Cumberlands (Ky.) is the lone MSC team ranked coming in at No. 9 with 382 points, while Cumberland (Tenn.) is also receiving votes.
