ACMS Middle School Science Students treated to Animal Tales

Jeff Armstrong brought a baby wallaby, baby kangaroo, porcupines, and reptiles for students to see, pet, and learn amazing facts about a ton of different animals.

Adair County Middle School 8th grade science department were thinking out of the box this past week.

Students were treated to a live show which incorporated habitats and ecosystems from the science curriculum in a captivating way.



Animal Tales, created and ran by Jeff Armstrong, brought a baby wallaby, baby kangaroo, porcupines, and reptiles for students to see, pet, and learn amazing facts about a ton of different animals.

Mr. Armstrong was full of information and made the afternoon fly by and students were soaking up the information as well as the adults.

It was a wonderful learning experience. Great way to bring the real world into the school --- way to go 8th grade science department!

A baby Red Kangaroo was among Jeff Armstrong’s animal presentation this week at ACMS. Students loved this little follow and were amazed at all the information presented about him. The coolest part I thought was that a female Red Kangaroo can have up to three babies all at different stages in their pouches. Talk about a busy Mom! - Shamarie Harper
