Jelaine Harlow: Loved Mitzi's article on walking at Haven Hill

Comments about What are you up to? Mitzi Bault answers in miles and turns

Jelaine Harlow writes:
I loved reading Mitzi's article! I have walked at Haven Hill as well as Columbia City Cemetery. I'd love to hear other favorite places from Adair Countians. I've attached a picture of one of my favorite places (notice the shade). - Jelaine Harlow
Thanks Jelaine Harlow. You've noted in an article that you use an activity tracker to reach your daily goal, so we're wondering if anyone has recorded the distance for walking at the Columbia City Cemetery or along a prescribed set of paths at Lindsey Wilson. - CM

Walking Your Way to Health - A shady place to walk

2016-05-09 - Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY - Photo by Jelaine Harlow .
Mitzi Bault has a favorite place to walk, Haven Hill cemetery, and has the metrics in her head to reach her goal. She leaves all devices at home, except for a cell phone for safety purposes, and eschew activity trackers. On the other hand, Jelaine Harlow of Adair County's W.A.T.C.H. group finds that putting together convenient blocks of walking throughout the day, can be better achieved with the disciplined monitoring of an digital device, an activity tracker similar to FitBit. But she finds some of the same walking venues as others, do. She walks Haven Hill on occasion, and favors the Columbia City Cemetery and, above, the wonderful walkways at Llndsey Wilson College, which she notes, provides some very nice shade and convenient rest stops along the way.
