She was a member of a large highly respected Adair County, KY family. She was the daughter of the late Mitchell & Estelle Corbin Ford. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Betty Jean Greer, 57, of Columbia, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 6:45amCT, at her home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, with Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Burial will be in Columbia Cemetery, 315 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation after 5pmCT, Tuesday, May 3, 2016.


Casket bearers: Jeff Ford, Daniel Lawhorn, Troy Ford, Jason Ford, Michael Burton, Chris Helm and Stephen Burton.

Honorary casket bearers: Buck Taylor, Charlie Childers, Gary Ford, Jr. and Josh Ford.


Betty Jean Greer, 57, Columbia, KY (1959-2016)

She was born April 18, 1959, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Mitchell & Estelle Corbin Ford. She died Sunday, May 1, 2016, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 57 years, 13 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie, Charles & Billy Ford, and one sister, Mary Helm.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors Include:
  • One son: Rodney (Heather) Ford of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Shannon Greer of Columbia,KY

  • Three brothers: James, Gary & Ronald Ford all of Columbia, KY

  • Six sisters: Darlene Lawhorn, Lorena Smith, Janet Foster, Patricia Burton, Linda Hutchison & Shelia White all of Columbia, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Joedeci, Jace, Monique & JaKobe Miller, Jamison and Hayden Ford

  • Several other relatives and friends
