LWC women's tennis defeats Shawnee State in MSC Tournament Lindsey Wilson Women's Tennis faces the winner of the fourth-seeded Cumberlands (KY) and fifth-seeded Campbellsville (KY) match in the semifinals of the MSC Championship on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at 2pmCT at Kereiakes Park, 1220 Fairview Avenue, Bowling Green, KY. By David Gerhart BOWLING GREEN, KY (Sat 23 Apr 2016) - The third-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team started their postseason schedule with a 5-0 victory over Shawnee State (Ohio) on Saturday in the Mid-South Conference Championship Quarterfinals at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green, KY. The Blue Raiders (16-4) entered the conference tournament as the top overall seed and they were able to sweep the eighth-seeded Bears (0-8), to run their winning streak to nine matches. Lindsey Wilson got off to a strong start as they did not drop a game in doubles play winning all three matches 8-0. After taking a 3-0 lead into the singles portion of the match, the Blue Raiders needed to win just two matches to conclude the team match. Alex Shchipakina got the first win for Lindsey Wilson in singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2 singles.
