LWC men's golf holds onto 2nd at MSC Championships By David Gerhart Bowling Green, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team posted a 6-over par 294 on the second day of the Mid-South Conference Championships, held at the Bowling Green Country Club. The Blue Raiders, who have compiled a 13-over par 589 over two rounds, are 20 strokes behind Cumberlands (Ky.) who is atop the standings with a 7-under par 569. The Patriots posted a team score of 7-under par 281 on Tuesday. Federico Navarro led Lindsey Wilson in the second round of the tournament as he fired a 2-under par 70. Navarro carded the second lowest score on the day, as he trailed only Cumberlands' Ben Kendrick who posted an 8-under par 64. Kendrick was one shot off the course record. Navarro moved up 10 spots and is currently tied for fourth place after two rounds of play with a 1-over par 145. Jonathan Grabara recorded a 1-over par 73 on day two of the tournament, as he is the top Blue Raider on the leaderboard with an even par 144. Grabara is in third place and nine strokes off the lead, which is held by Kendrick with a 9-under par 135. Grabara is second in the field in par three scoring (1-under par), par four scoring (even par) and birdies (10). Ryan Nowe finished the day with a 3-over par 75. Nowe moved up nine spots after the first round as he is now tied for 22nd with a 10-over par 154. Zach Madewell posted a 4-over par 76 in the second round of the championships and he stayed tied for 16th with an 8-over par 152 after two days. Madewell leads the field with 26 pars over two days of competition. Chris Butler was the final golfer in the Lindsey Wilson lineup as he shot an 8-over par 80 in the second round. Butler slipped 11 spots on the leaderboard as he posted a two day total of 9-over par 153. Jordan Hagan competed as an individual for the Blue Raiders, where he turned in a 5-over par 77 on the second day of the tournament. Hagan fell three spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 19th with a 9-over par 153.
