Randy Ray McCoy, Summer Shade, KY (1965-2016)

He was a native of Glasgow, KY, and a resident of Summer Shade, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of Carolyn Harner McCoy and Randal McCoy, both of whom survive. He leaves He worked in the electrical industry, was a Christian, and was a Navy veteran. He went to school in Temple Hill, KY and Urbana, IL. He leaves nine direct living descendants to carry on his legacy.

Randy Ray McCoy, age 50, of Summer Shade, died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at his home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Mark Parks, officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be 2pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 and on Wednesday after 7amCT, until time of services.



Randy Ray McCoy, Summer Shade, KY (1965-2016)

Born October 25, 1965 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, he was a son of Carolyn Harner McCoy, Savoy, IL and Randall McCoy, Summer Shade, who survive. He died Saturday, April 16, 2016, in Summer Shade, KY, at the age of 50 years, five months, and 22 days.

He worked in the electrical industry, was a Christian, and was a Navy veteran. He went to school in Temple Hill, KY and Urbana, IL.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include:
  • Two daughters: Cayla McCoy, Lexington, and Angie Reddick, Champaign, IL

  • Two sons: Cody McCoy, Montana, and Chris McCoy, Bowling Green, KY

  • Four sisters: his twin Rhonda (Doug) Eckerty, Gibson City, IL; Tammy McCoy, Rantoul, IL: Darla McCoy, Phoenix, AZ; and Karen (Ben) Molinar, Conroe, TX

  • Five grandchildren

  • Eighteen nieces and nephews

  • Special friend: Kim Green

  • And the mother of his children; Sherry Ginter.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C W and Pernie McCoy and Lucille and Jim Watson.
