ACSO alleges alcohol involved in accident; deer a factor

Driver arrested, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail. No injuries reported. Three occupants involved.

Adair County Deputy Aaron Rainwater of the Adair County Sheriff's Office was dispatched on Sat 16 Apr 2016, at 12:45pmCT to a single vehicle accident 8 miles south of Columbia on Burkesville Road, Columbia, KY.



22 year old William C. Loy of Columbia, KY was traveling southbound on Burkesville Road when he stated a deer ran in front of his vehicle.

Loy lost control of his vehicle striking a guardrail before coming to rest off the roadway.

Loy was arrested on scene by Deputy Rainwater and lodged in the Adair County Jail on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs 1st offense.

Loy had two passengers in the vehicle who were not injured.
