It was another night to remember. The 2016 Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet is now part of history, with eight new names recognized as the outstanding individuals in their fields.

Cameron Mills, a member of the UK 1996 and 1998 National Championship Basketball teams, was the guest speaker at the Chamber Awards Banquet Friday, April 15, 2016 at Lindsey Wilson College's Cranmer Dining Center.

Though he was a fill-in for a Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball, whose schedule dictated a cancellation this time, Cameron Mills, as usual, inspired and kept the crowd of around 200 in high spirits with his trademark humor.

Mills is a well-known all-star UK basketball player who was called to lead a ministry. Since he started his ministry in 1998 Mills has been speaking to schools, youth groups and churches.

Cameron is known by many for playing at the University of Kentucky; he even holds several three-point records there. However, his true passion and what he seeks to be better known for is sharing the gospel.

Sherri McGyver of Forcht Communications who provided the speaker, introduced Mills.
