Priscella N. Brown, 87, Casey Co., KY (1928-2016)

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Liberty Sportswear. Priscella loved to sing in church and was a charter member of the Rheber Nazarene Church. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late John W. and Bessie Norman Mills. She was the widow of Ray Brown. She leaves 40 direct living descendants spanning four generations

Priscella N. Brown passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Liberty Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was 87.

Funeral services are 10amCT/11amET Monday, April 4, 2015 at the Rheber Nazarene Church with Rev. Mike Brown officiating. Mrs. Priscella Brown will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is 2pm-7pmCT/3pm-8pmET, Sunday, April 3, 2016, McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, and will continue Monday from 7am-9amCT/8am-10amET, at the funeral home.

Born Tuesday, June 19, 1928 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Bessie Norman Mills. She died Thursday, March 31, 2016,in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 87 years, nine months, and 12 days.

She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Liberty Sportswear. Priscella loved to sing in church and was a charter member of the Rheber Nazarene Church.

She was a great Mom.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons: Rev. Mike (and Marsha) Brown of Louisville, KY; and Gary Brown of Yosemite, KY

  • A daughter, Alma Crockett of Jenkins, KY

  • Nine grandchildren: Tim, Troy, Tammy, Christy, Melissa, Meaghan, Morgan, Zach, and Paula

  • Nineteen great-grandchildren

  • Nine great-great-grandchildren

  • A brother: David Mills of Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray Brown, who died December 26, 1992; one daughter; one son; a grandson, David Crockett; and twelve brothers and sisters.
