Effort underway in Fairplay to try Moonglow pears in Kentucky Write has had varying success rates with fruit trees here - with pear trees doing best. By Charles Marshburn I have planted a couple of pear trees. Don't believe they are an old fashion variety. These pear trees are the Moon Glow variety. That is a very tasty pear which grows well in the Atlanta area. Having planted peaches, apples and pears, here, I've had varying success: The pears seem to be doing fairly well, the peaches are in second place and the apples are a distant third. My cherry trees that I have planted are struggling. This story was posted on 2016-03-31 08:04:16
