Absentee votes at good pace for Wet-Dry election

A check at the Adair County Court Clerk's office today, Thursday, March 17, 2016, at approximately 3:30pmCT today showed that for the March 22, 2016 Wet/Dry Election:
  • 196 have voted by machine in the Clerk's office
  • 077 have mailed in paper ballots which have been received at Clerk's officde

  • 273 Total votes have been cast by absentee
Voters who qualify for absentee voting have three more days, Friday, Saturday, and Monday, March 18, 19, and 21, to vote by absentee at the Clerk's Office, Adair Annex, 424 Public Square, Columbia, KY.

Clerk Lisa Greer said that mail in ballots must be received by 4pmCT, Tuesday, March 22, 2016, in order to be counted. Polls will be open in all precincts of Adair County from 6am-6pmCT. "There is some confusion among a very few as to where to vote," she said, adding, "Everyone will vote at their usual poll location."
