Some general guidelines for what's free, what's not

Free events notices are posted from emails specifically to ColumbiaMagazine.com, written specifically for this site.

Free events notices should be sent in one email, with accompanying photos as jpg attachments, in the same email.

Free events notices should be sent in news form, in complete sentences, using ColumbiaMagazine.com's format, style, spellings and abbreviations, and sequence. If you are unsure, give us a call.

Free events notices are posted with the name of the person submitting the announcement.

Just a note: The posting of an event on ColumbiaMagazine.com involves an extraordinary amount of time. Making changes to the posts (it's a complicated process) is even more difficult. Your help to make it right the first time, in one email, is appreciated, and necessary for the service to continue. Please remember to always give us context by sending complete information concerning changes in one email responding using a contact button with the item needing a correction.

Paid advertising is welcome

Receipt of any FAX, or flyer or poster by FAX, email, or USPS postal service is considered a request for a paid advertisement. We'll contact you before posting, to let you know the amount.

If it reads like an ad, it's an ad. If it reads like news, it's news.
