LWC's Callum Pilgrim chosen as MSC Softball Player of the Week

COLUMBIA, KY (14 Mar 2016) – Lindsey Wilson freshman Callum Pilgrim has been named the Mid-South Conference Softball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.



Pilgrim went 11-for-21 at the plate in six games last week, helping the No. 2-ranked Blue Raiders to a 4-2 record.

The native of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, hit two home runs and two doubles while scoring four times and drawing three walks. She finished with a .905 slugging percentage for the week.

Her highlight during the week came in a doubleheader against Kentucky Christian where she blasted her first collegiate home run in the opening game, followed by a two-run shot in the nightcap as she posted five RBIs on the day.

Lindsey Wilson is now 15-7 on the season. She joins teammate Sydney Fourman as a previous recipient of the MSC weekly award this season

Pilgrim earns her first conference player of the week honor of the season and of her career.
