CU men, women make NAIA basketball tournament

Campbellsville, KY - Both Campbellsville University's men's and women's basketball teams punched their tickets to the NAIA national tournament as the selection process took place on Wednesday, March 9.



A No. 8 national ranking has the Lady Tigers checking in as the At-Large No. 2 qualifying seed and a spot opposite Xavier (LA) at the 36th Annual NAIA Division I Women's Basketball National Championship.

The Lady Tigers (25-7), who were Mid-South Conference regular-season and tournament runners-up, and Xavier (22-11), Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament champion, will play Wednesday, March 16 at 9:30zmET.

Tiger basketball moved back into the NAIA Top 25 for the final regular-season poll and CU also picked up the 12th at-large bid to the 79th Annual Buffalo Funds-NAIA Division I Men's Basketball National Championship.
