Brandon Burns: Why not Wet/Dry at regular election? Brandon Burns writes: If a benefit of alcohol sales is tax revenue, why wasn't the petitions started later and/or turned in at a time that would allow the wet/dry vote to be put on a ballot such as a primary. $15,000 for a special election seems like it would be considered to be an addition to an upcoming ballot. Special elections are widely known to be costly and have a lower voter turnout in comparison. Are there laws that keep these from being added to a later upcoming ballot? - Brandon BurnsComments re photo 65201 Adair Taylor officials visit Secretary of State Grimes This story was posted on 2016-03-03 10:36:05
