Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 1 Mar 2016

12 individuals from Taylor and Adair Counties in Kentucky received 15 indictments for charges including burglary, theft, promoting contraband, wanton endangerment, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, disregarding stop signs, evading arrest, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 1 March 2016:


  • Christopher Reynolds (01/25/1986), Davis St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00021. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $25,000/10%, no contact with victim/WalMart.

  • Christopher Reynolds (01/25/1986), Davis St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00022. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $20,000/10%, no contact with victim/WalMart.

  • Christopher Reynolds (01/25/1986), Davis St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00023. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $23,000/10%, no contact with victim/WalMart.

  • Taylor M. Hatfield (02/13/1997), Taylor Blvd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00024. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 2 - Promoting contraband, 2nd degree. Bond set at $2,500 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no new arrests.

  • Taylor M. Hatfield (02/13/1997), Taylor Blvd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00025. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - TBUT or disposition auto $500 or more but under $10,000. Same bond as 16-CR-00024. Bond set at $2,500 full cash, no use of drugs or alcohol, no new arrests.

  • Amber Downs (07/31/1988), Cedar St., Cambpellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00026. Charged with 9 counts. Counts 1-3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Count 5 - Terroristic threatening, 3rd degree. Count 6 - Disorderly conduct, 1st degree. Count 7 - Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, 1st offense. Count 8 - Reckless driving. Count 9 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $150 full cash, no use of drugs/alcohol, no contact with complaining witness, no new arrests.

  • Emily C. Smith, aka Emily Caulk (08/30/1987), Meadowbrook St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00027. Charged with 11 counts. Counts 1-3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Criminal mischief, 1st degree. Count 5 - Operating a motor vehicle under influence alcohol/drugs, .08 (Agg Circum.), 1st offense. Count 6 - Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance/security, 1st offense. Count 7 - Failure to notify address change to department of transportation. Count 8 - License to be in possession. Count 9 - Failure to produce insurance card. Count 10 - No registration receipt. Count 11 - No registration plates. Bond set at $20,000/10%, no alcohol use, MCR@PTS report & test weekly.

  • Bo J. Stancill (01/19/1981), Red Fern Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00028. Charged with 12 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing/evading police, 1st degree. Counts 2-3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree police officer. Count 4 - Criminal mischief, 2nd degree. Count 5 - Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance/securities, 1st offense. Count 6 - Resisting arrest. Count 7 - Disregarding traffic control device - traffic light. Counts 8-11 - Disregarding stop sign. Count 12 - Reckless driving. Bond set at $15,000/10%, no alcohol use.

  • Leslie C. Frazier, Jr. (01/03/1989), Roland St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00029. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no new arrest or violations of the law, no possession of firearm.

  • Simon B. Kirkland (05/27/1987), E. First St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00030. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Wanton endanderment, 1st degree. Count 2 - Alcohol intoxication in a public place, 1st & 2nd offense. Bond set at $25,000 cash, no alcohol or illegal drug use.

  • Benjamin Begley (02/05/1982), Raikes Hill Rd., Elkhorn, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00031. Charged with 10 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing/evading police, 1st degree (motor vehicle). Counts 2-3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Fleeing/evading police, 2nd degree (on foot). Count 5 - Operating motor vehicle under influence alcohol/drugs .08, 1st offense. Count 6 - Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/securities, 1st offense. Count 7 - Reckless driving. Count 8 - No registration plates. Count 9 - No registration receipt. Count 10 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $1,000 full cash, no new arrests or violations of the law, no driving.

  • William T. Kendall (06/13/1986), Fairview Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00032. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property under $10,000. Count 2 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense. Count 3 - Drug paraphernalia buy/possess. Bond set at $20,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Zachary Q. Powell (07/30/1992), Bridgewater Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00033-001. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Burglary, 2nd degree. Count 2 - TBUT or disposition, all others $10,000 or more but under $1,000,000. Bond set at $20,000 cash, no contact with victim.

  • Rashad M. Dunn (08/26/1989), Coakley St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00033-002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Receiving stolen property $10,000 or more. Bond set at $10,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Thomas Grammer (02/13/1988), Timothy Tr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00034. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking all others $500 or more but under $10,000. Bond set at $5,000 full cash.
