Lorene Chaney Lee, Casey Co., KY (1931-2016)

She was a homemaker and attended the Pentecostal Church. Lorene loved flowers and was known for babysitting. Her husband Raymond survives. She leaves 28 direct livimng descendants.

Lorene Lee of Liberty, KY passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville at the age of 84.

Funeral services are 1pmCT/2pmET Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY with Bro. Johnny Patton and Bro. Ricky Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET at the funeral home.


Lorene Chaney Lee, Casey Co., KY (1931-2016)

Born December 16, 1931 in Pulaski County, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Matt Chaney and Vicie Lee Cromer Chaney. She died Sunday, February 28, 2016, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 84 years, two months, and 12 days.

She was a homemaker and attended the Pentecostal Church. Lorene loved flowers and was known for babysitting.

Survivors include:
  • Her beloved husband, Raymond Lee, whom she married March 28, 1955

  • Four sons, Ronnie Lee of Liberty, Tony (and Susan) Lee of Garrard County, KY; Ricky Lee of Dunnville, KY; and Terry (and Shannon) Lee of Jessamine County, KY

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Fifteen great-grandchildren

  • Two sisters, Lavonne Shoemaker of Louisville and Ruth Mink of Greenwood, IN
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Danny Lee; and five brothers, Lewis, Russell, Lloyd, Floyd, and Coy Chaney
