Dale Foster, Casey County, KY (1933-2015)

He was formerly employed as a mechanic at Liberty Motors and was a farmer. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Valley Oak Baptist Church, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 41 and a Kentucky Colonel. He was a native of Casey County, KY, the son of the late James Clyde and Stacy Watson Foster. His wife of over 52 years, Glennis Cravens Foster, survives. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

U.S. Veteran Dale Foster age 82, of Bethelridge, KY departed this life on Sunday February 28, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held 12pmCT/1pmET, Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY with Rev. Troy Merrick officiating. Burial will follow in Watson's Chapel Cemetery with military rites performed by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be held 5pmCT/6pmET Monday, February 29, 2016, 2016 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born in Argyle, Casey County, KY on April 28, 1933. He was a son of the late James Clyde and Stacy Watson Foster. He died Sunday, February 28, 2016, in Bethelridge, Casey County, KY, at the age of 82 years, 10 months.

Dale was formerly employed as a mechanic at Liberty Motors and was a farmer. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the Valley Oak Baptist Church, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 41 and a Kentucky Colonel.

Dale was united in marriage to Glennis Cravens Foster on October 12, 1963.

Besides his wife, he is also survived by:
  • A son: James Coy Foster of Bethelridge, KY

  • A daughter: Saundra Gail Alexander of Liberty, KY

  • And five grandchildren: Brittney Nicole Gadberry, Cody James Foster, Jessica Lynn Foster, Austin James Foster and Trevor Jonathan Alexander.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Wilma Irene Foster Wesley.
