Mr. Herbert L. Wright of Summersville, KY, son of the late Henry "Boosie" Wright and Dorothy Byrd Wright, was born on May 26, 1941 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his home. He was 74 years, eight months, and 29 days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Herbert L. Wright will be conducted at 1pmCT, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Penick and Bro. Blake Durrett will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3pmCT until 8pmCT, Friday, February 26, 2016, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Saturday until time of the funeral service.

Mr. Herbert L. Wright of Summersville, KY, son of the late Henry "Boosie" Wright and Dorothy Byrd Wright, was born on May 26, 1941 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at his home. He was 74 years, eight months, and 29 days of age.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Joyce Whitlock Wright of Summersville, KY, having united in marriage on May 29, 1982.

Other survivors include:
  • Three sons and two daughters-in-law: H.L. and Ruth Wright of Green County, KY; Richard L. Wright, and Teddy Eugene "Bean" and Marilyn Wright all of Greensburg, KY

  • Two step-daughters: Kim Hagan and her husband Matt, and Shannon Cook and her husband Brian all of Green County, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Jacob Harris, Lindsey Hash both of Campbellsville, KY; Alex Cook of Bowling Green, KY; Lexi Cook, Dustin Cook, Colton and Ashley Wright, and Summer Wright all of Greensburg, KY

  • Four great-grandchildren: Daisey Wright of Greensburg, KY; Drayden, Ryan, and Bryson Hash all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters and brothers-in-law: Barbara and Mike Bagby of Florida, and Mae and William Earl Milby of Greensburg, KY

  • A brother and two sisters-in-law: Charles and Shirley Wright and Jane Wright all of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends

The Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Bennett Cemetery, which can be made at the funeral home.
