GREENCASTLE, IN - The Lindsey Wilson men's indoor track & field team took home the team victory on Saturday, February 20, 2016 after the Blue Raiders topped the field at the DePauw Classic.

Lindsey Wilson accumulated 141 total team points, edging out second place Wabash (IN) (137 points) and third place Taylor (IN) (116 points) in the 11-team competition.

Along the way, a quartet of Blue Raiders picked up individual victories while one school record fell.

Dante Johnson was the first to claim a win on the day as he won the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.45, nearly two seconds faster than the rest of the field, but just a half of a second off a national qualifying standard.

Desmond Mobley was one of two Blue Raiders to capture a win in a field event as he took top honors in the long jump event, reaching a distance of 6.74 meters. Anthony Thompson won the triple jump with a distance of 13.94 meters.

Thompson also competed in the long jump, taking third with a leap of 6.43 meters.

John-Paul Williamson was the final Blue Raider to grab win, capturing the victory in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 8:45.80, nearly five seconds faster than second place. Williamson also secured a runner-up finish in the one mile run, crossing the line in 4:17.48, a time good enough for a national "A" standard.

Kevin Hallmon was responsible for breaking the school record on the day. His time of 6.91 seconds in the 60 meter dash preliminaries broke the previous program indoor record time of 6.96 seconds established back in 2007. The time would also qualify him for a "B" standard.

The 60 meter dash was nearly an all-Lindsey Wilson final as six of the eight runners were Blue Raiders.

Dondre Mimms was the highest finisher in second place at 6.96 seconds. Hallmon (7.05) took third, followed by Holt Keeling (7.10) in fourth, Christian Davis (7.12) in fifth, Austin Hayes (7.13) in sixth and Jayshawn Coleman (7.34) in eighth.

Hallmon and Keeling also finished second and third respectively, in the 200 meter dash, while Mimms took fourth in the 400 meter dash.

Cameron Murphy would add a third-place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 8.63 seconds.

In the distance events, Marcus Terrell captured third in the 600 meter run as Ben Hoffman took second in the 1,000 meter run.

Lindsey Wilson's 4x400 meter relay team also grabbed the event win with a time of 3:24.42.

Mobley also captured a runner-up finish in the high jump with a height of 1.96 meters. Jonah Quire added a seventh-place finish in the pole vault at 3.55 meters.

Matt Hughes, Andrew Hedgespeth, Jeron Thornton and Anthony Hampton all achieved personal bests in the shot put event on the day.

Now the qualifying Blue Raiders begin preparations for the NAIA Indoor National Championships.
