Roberta Hudson, 79, Russell Co., KY (1936-2016)

She was a bus moniter for the Russell County Schools and was a member of French Valley United Methodist Church. She was born in Russell County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of her death in Pulaski County, KY. She was a member of a highly respected family, the daughter of the late Edward & Desdie Gaskin Bradshaw. She was the widow of Dan Hudson. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Roberta Hudson, 79, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Cumberland Nursing & Rehab in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Roberta Hudson will be 2pmCT, Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Barry Bradshaw and Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Thursday, February 18, 2016. Burial will be in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Special Music: Michelle & Kendra Rowe. Pallbearers will be Barry Bradshaw, Mike Jones, Matthew Brown, Gerald Harmon, Eddie Bradshaw, and Alan Bradshaw.



Roberta Hudson, 79, Russell Co., KY (1936-2016)


She was born May 25, 1936 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Edward & Desdie Gaskin Bradshaw. She died Monday, February 15, 2016, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 79 years, eight months, and 21 days.

She was a bus moniter for the Russell County Schools and was a member of French Valley United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Hudson; and two brothers, Kent Bradshaw and Carlos Bradshaw.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Sharon Foley, Russell Springs, KY; and Karen Dockery, Somerset, KY

  • One grandchild: Dana (Matthew) Brown, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two great grandchildren: Haylee and Haydan Brown

  • Three brothers: Arlus Bradshaw, Somerset, KY; Douglas Bradshaw, Indianapolis, IN; and Jimmy Bradshaw, Indiana

  • One sister: Avis Chumbley, Somerset, KY

  • And a sister-in-law: Pam Bradshaw, Russell Springs, KY
The family requests that memorials be made to the Cumberland Nursing & Rehab Center's Relay For Life Team. These can be made at the funeral home.
