LWC Women's Bowling takes 12th at Eagle Classic By Charlie Balcom The Lindsey Wilson women's bowling team collected a 12th-place finish at the Eagle Classic on Saturday, followed by a 15th-place finish at the Norse Collegiate Classic on Sunday. The Blue Raiders accumulated 5,783 pins en route to their 12th place at Eastland Lanes in Lexington. Kelsey Grayson was the highest Blue Raider finisher on the day as she totaled 810 pins in five games, averaging a 162 per game, to finish in 45th place. Rebecca Himebaugh grabbed 52nd place with 785 total pins in her five games, while a few spots down, Carissa Engle recorded 761 pins en route to a 55th-place finish. Jerrica Shannon tossed a 625 in four games while Denise Franks hit a 485 in three games. Christine Amiot bowled just two games, but had the highest Blue Raider game of the day with a 191 in her first game. JaCinda Warner completed the team, bowling a 125 in her lone game. Emmanuel (Ga.) took home the team title with a 6,942 total score. Emmanuel's Destiny Harper collected the individual win with a final score of 1,055, 71 pins more than the next closest competitor. On Sunday at the Norse Collegiate Classic, the Blue Raiders racked up 5,779 total pins for their 15th place. Shannon had the highest placement at the event after she bowled an 855 to finish in 56th place. Two spots behind her finished Himebaugh with an 851 in five games. Himebaugh earned the highest Blue Raider game of the day with a 209 in her final game. Engle notched an 826 in five games and Grayson held a 793 in her five games. Warner went for 401 in three games and Amiot added 259 in her two games. Emmanuel once again took home the team win with Harper grabbing her second win in as many days, narrowly edging out Ursuline's (Ohio) Rachael Albright by one pin for the victory.
