News from the Adair County High School welding program

It's another great day for the ACHS Welding Program of Lake Cumberland ATC. Josh Grant, Quentin Slaven, and Dakota Stotts participated in the Capital City Welding Classic competition today in Frankfort, Kentucky, hosted by Tulsa Welding School.

Although Quentin and Dakota did not place in the competition, they each earned $500.00 in scholarship funds to attend Tulsa Welding School.

Josh earned 2nd place in the competition, which allowed him to earn the remaining 1/2 tuition scholarship to the school, which Josh has chosen to attend after graduation. Josh also participated in a previous welding competition in Louisville, Kentucky, and earned the first 1/2 of his tuition funds.

Josh is the 18 year old son of Denise Grant and Andy Grant; grandson of Joe and Annabelle Pyles and Richard and Beth Grant; and an ACHS welding student under the direction of Barney Taylor.
