Edwin Glen Jackson, 70, Adair Co., KY (1945-2016)

He was a member of New Life for the Nations and had retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a US Army Veteran and will be accorded full military honors at committal rites at Lebanon National Cemetery. He was a native of Adair County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the lat James Sr. and Myrtle Graves Jackson. His wife, Sheryl Nichols Jackson, survives. He leaves 27 direct living descendants.

Edwin Glen Jackson, 70, of Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 1:38pmET, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service will be Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11amCT, at New Life for the Nations, 5095 Campbellsville Road, Columbia, KY 42728 with Pastor Gerald Reliford officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Highway 208, Lebanon, KY, with full military honors presented by Marion County Honor Guard. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Friday, at the church.

He was born May 15, 1945, in Adair County, to the late James Sr. and Myrtle Graves Jackson. He died Tuesday, January 26, 2016, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 70 years, eight months, and 11 days.

He was a member of New Life for the Nations, a US Army veteran and retired from Ford Motor Company.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Sheryl Nichols Jackson of Columbia, KY

  • Six sons: Dr. Dana (Amy) Nichols of California; Jacques Jackson of Louisville, KY; Chi-minh (Katina) Jackson of Louisville, KY; Demetrius (Donna) Jackson of Louisville, KY; Outher Dunning of Louisville, KY; and Michael Dunning of California

  • Two daughters: Joyce Angima of Kenya, Africa; and Sherrie Dunning of New Jersey

  • One brother: Kenny Jackson of Glasgow, KY

  • One sister: Ella Jackson of Columbia, KY

  • Seventeen grandchildren

  • and two great-grandchildren
