CU women's basketball tops NAIA rankings for 2nd week Next: The CU Lady Tigers host No. 5 Shawnee State Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 5pmCT/6pmET in the Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY. CU sports information assistant Kansas City, MO - There was movement in the latest NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, but it didn't affect Campbellsville as the Lady Tigers held onto the No. 1 spot for the second week in a row. Campbellsville (18-3, 6-1 MSC) has ranked in the top four in every poll this season. In addition, the Lady Tigers have been ranked in 88-straight polls dating back to the 2008-09 season and hasve been ranked inside the Top 5 for 25-straight polls. The Lady Tigers claimed 7-of-9 first-place votes and 218 total points and are on a 13-game win streak. Campbellsville is in the top 10 in 13 statistical categories, including a No. 2 ranking in total scoring (1,637). Westmont University claimed one first-place vote and 206 points en route to its second-straight No. 2 ranking. Our Lady of the Lake, Bethel University and Shawnee State University round out the Top 5. No. 6 Columbia was the only other team to receive one first-place vote by the committee. Three other Mid-South Conference teams held their spots in the Top 25, headed by Shawnee State's (18-2) jump to No. 5. Pikeville (17-1) is 17th and Lindsey Wilson (16-4) is 22nd. Cumberland University is receiving votes after dropping out of the Top 25 this week. The Frontier Conference and the Mid-South Conference lead all conferences with four teams represented each.
