PAC - Progress in Adair County - submitted the petitions on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Clerk Greer submitted them to Judge Stephens who could have validate the signatures, but chose the option for Clerk Greer to do so.

The work was completed on Monday evening, Judge Stephens said.

The election is in 65 days. Judge Stephens had the option of setting it no earlier than 60 days and no later than 90. He also was required to order the election at least 30 days before the May 17, 2016 election.
