KY State offices to be closed Fri 22 Jan 2016 FRANKFORT, KY (21 Jan 2016) – Due to the impending severe weather forecast, Governor Bevin is closing all state offices for Friday, January 22, 2016. The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Kentucky as the weather event approaches the Commonwealth. Kentucky officials are coordinating with local officials and emergency personnel. Essential employees designated for mandatory operations will continue to report to work as directed by agency management. Essential employees include, but are not limited to: 1) employees who work in 24-hour facilities such as parks, hospitals, prisons, or residential facilities; 2) law enforcement and emergency management personnel; and 3) highway and road crews.
