MCHS awarded $5,000 grant towards personalized learning More Tech - in the form of Chromebooks - for Metcalfe County High School coming with help of grant from DART Foundation Click on headline for story with photo News from Metcalfe County School District Metcalfe County High School was recently awarded a $5,000 grant from the DART Foundation. The application, written by Green River Regional Education Cooperative (GRREC) employee, Eric Sexton is to provide more students access to technology. Sexton, a College & Career Readiness Counselor, employed by GRREC and stationed at Metcalfe County High School applied for the grant in hopes to complete a mobile Chromebook lab for students and faculty to utilize. Sexton became familiar with Chromebooks, a slim cloud-based laptop, year before last when he was able to purchase eight (with GRREC's Race-to-the-Top funding) and pilot them with students for use in his college and career center.
