Casey County Grand Jury returns indictments Mon 11 Jan 2016

Indictments brought against 9 individuals from Libery, Cincinnati, and parts unknown. Charges include possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, DUI, trafficking and theft.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

Indictments were returned against the following individuals on Monday, 11 January, 2016:

  • Justin A. Buis (07/27/1980), Poplar Hill Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00001. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (meth). Count 2 - Operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration of or above .08 or while under the influence of alcohol or other substance, 1st offense. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, 1st offense. Count 5 - Failure to use seatbelt. Count 6 - Reckless driving. Count 7 - Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Same bond as district.

  • Danielle E. Sims (01/11/1979), address unknown Indictment No. 16-CR-00002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Failure to comply with sex offender registration. Bond set at $5,000 cash only.

  • Meagan D. Clements (aka Crew), (04/07/1985), Wilson Ridge Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00003. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree (drug unspecified). Count 2 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Bail set at $1,000 cash only/10%.

  • Meagan D. Clements (aka Crew), (04/07/1985), Wilson Ridge Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00004. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (meth). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,000 cash only/10%.

  • Quinton K. Johnson (07/30/1983), Woodrum Ridge Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00005. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, firearm. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $5,000 cash only.

  • Jessica E. Gadberry (11/08/1982), Jackie Dr., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00006. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st offense, 1st degree (meth). Count 2 - Operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration of or above .08 or while under the influence of alcohol or other substance, 1st offense. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,000 cash only/10%.

  • Russell L. Emerson (05/20/1975), KY 1547, Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00007. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (meth). Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 2nd degree. Bail set at $5,000 cash only/10%.

  • Brittany D. Emerson (0/17/1986), KY 1547, Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00008. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (meth). Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $1,000 C/SP.

  • Kenneth N. Elliott (06/08/1976), Cottonwood Dr., Cincinnati, OH Indictment No. 16-CR-00009. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree (More than or equal to 2g meth), 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, drug unspecified. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Count 4 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail same as district.

  • Jordan Tyler Watson (12/04/1986), Poff Emerson Rd., Liberty, KY Indictment No. 16-CR-00010. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition, $500 or more but less than $10,000 (farm equipment). Count 2 - Persistent felony offender. Bail set at $5,000 cash only.
