History: Sen. McConnell great lecture on KY political rivalries See also:: Kentucky Color: Dad's Happy Chandler Road by Billy Joe Fudge; Also: Letter: Thanks for sharing the Happy Chandler Road by Linda Marcum Waggener By Ed Waggener Ann Curtis sent this yesterday: "The mention of Happy Chandler by Billy Joe reminded me of this video I stumbled upon on C-SPAN last November. Thought you would enjoy." She included a link to www.c-span.org/video/?400280-1/political-rivalry-1950s-kentucky, the presentation of a lecture by Senator Mitch McConnell late last year at Transylvania College in Lexington, KY. For those addicted to Kentucky politics, it's a must watch. Senator McConnell tells the story of three men who were foremost in shaping Kentucky in the 20th Century: A.B. "Happy" Chandler, Earle C. Clements, and Thruston Ballard Morton. The show may be up there with Ken Burns. This story was posted on 2016-01-10 05:31:37
