KSP Post 15 Activity Report Dec 2015 - Two fatalities in area

Yearly fatality count is down, from 37 in 2014 to 32 in 2015 in Post 15 territory, but statewide, traffic-related traffic count soared with increase of 94 killed as result of highway accidents

COLUMBIA, KY – During the month of December 2015, there were 32 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were two fatal collisions during the month of December in the Post 15 area.



- Marvin W Wilson II, 37 years of age of Casey Co KY was killed on 12/22/15 in Casey Co KY
- Janice M Miller, 63 years of age of Green Co KY was killed on 12/24/15 in Green Co KY

This brings our yearly fatality count to 32 compared with 37 through this same period in 2014. Statewide fatality count stands at 766 compared with 672 through this same period in 2014.

During the month of December 2015, there were 991 citations written, 38 courtesy notices written, 1441 vehicles inspected, 619 complaints answered, 63 motorists assisted, 42 criminal cases opened and 186 criminal arrests made.
