COLUMBIA, KY (Wed 6 Jan 2016) – The 2015 season was a memorable one in many ways for the Lindsey Wilson volleyball team. Not only did the Blue Raiders compete on the final day of the season in the NAIA National Championship Semifinal Round, but the team also set multiple new program records along the way.

Lindsey Wilson concluded the year with a 37-4 record, making the deepest national tournament run in program history with an appearance in the final four. The previous best finish came in 2014 when the Blue Raiders advanced to the single-elimination tournament round of 12.

The 37 wins are the most in a single season in program history for the Blue Raiders, and the 29-consecutive victories accumulated along the way is the longest winning streak in program history. Lindsey Wilson's historic win streak began on September 5 and ran all the way to December 4, 2015 before it came to an end on December 5, 2015. in the semifinals. Over that time, the Blue Raiders won in five sets once, four sets eight times, and racked up 20 three-set victories. In matches played at Biggers Sports Center, the Blue Raiders have not lost since October 5, 2013, a string of 32-consecutive home victories.

Lindsey Wilson captured the Mid-South Conference regular season crown for a third-straight season along with the 2015 MSC Tournament title. It marked just the second time in program history and the first time since 2011 that the Blue Raiders grabbed both MSC crowns in the same year.

2015 marked the first time in program history that the Blue Raiders achieved a No. 1 ranking in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The top ranking came in the final regular season edition of the poll, which also earned Lindsey Wilson the No. 1 overall seed at the NAIA National Championship Tournament for the first time in program history.

As the No. 1 seed, Lindsey Wilson won their group with wins over Briar Cliff (Iowa), MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) and Eastern Oregon to earn a bye into the final eight for the first time. Once there, the Blue Raiders met up with Georgetown (KY) for the fourth time of the year, and just like the previous three matches, Lindsey Wilson emerged victorious to earn a spot in the national semifinals. The season finally came to an end as Lindsey Wilson fell in the semifinals to eventual national champion Columbia (MO).

Lindsey Wilson rounded out the year with a No. 3 postseason ranking, the highest postseason ranking in program history.

Statistically, the Blue Raiders were one of the most efficient teams in the NAIA as Lindsey Wilson ranked second with a .288 hitting percentage on the season. Siqueira was also named the AVCA Southeast Region Player of the Year as well as the Mid-South Conference Player of the Year. Ragni Knudsen was chosen as the AVCA Southeast Region Freshman of the Year and MSC Freshman of the Year.

Head coach Andy Cavins was selected as both the AVCA Southeast Region and MSC Coach of the Year.
