LWC's Siqueira, Montano named to National All Tournament team By Charles Balcom COLUMBIA, KY - Lindsey Wilson volleyball student-athletes Carol Siqueira and Makenzie Montano have been named to the 2015 NAIA Volleyball National Championship All-Tournament Team. Siqueira averaged 4.8 kills per set during the tournament, the fourth-highest average of any player. The outside hitter racked up 86 kills in her 18 sets played at the national championship tournament. During pool play, the quarterfinal and the semifinal rounds, Siqueira recorded kill marks of 10, 20, 28, 17 and 11. The 28 kills against Eastern Oregon were a career-best for Siqueira along with being the most in a single match for any player at the tournament. Montano averaged 12.3 assists per set, the fourth highest among any player, finishing with 222 assists in her 18 sets played. She recorded assist marks of 36, 59, 49, 44 and 34 during the tournament, the 59 being a career-high in Lindsey Wilson's win over MidAmerica Nazarene (KS). Montano posted a triple-double in Lindsey Wilson's quarterfinal win over Georgetown 9Ky.), finishing with 10 kills, 44 assists and a career-high 27 digs. Siqueira and Montano become just the second and third Blue Raiders in program history to earn all-tournament honors, joining Yeniffer Ramirez who earned the honor last season. The duo helped the Blue Raiders finish with the second-best team hitting percentage at the tournament (.267), the second-most kills (284) and the third-most assists (263). Lindsey Wilson concludes the 2015 season with a 37-4 record, the most wins in a single season in program history, along with advancing to the program's first-ever semifinals.
